I heard once that the world is actually upside down. That your brain flips the images your eyes see to what we consider the right way up. I never found out if that was true or not, but lately it feels like the world is constantly twisting, as if it was fighting to turn itself back to the way that my eyes intended. As if my brain is giving up. Faltering. As if my body is returning to default.

From the beginning I knew this wouldn’t end well.
What I didn’t know is that it wouldn’t end at all.
